Straight answers to what people actually ask us — no legalese, no sales pitch.
Nothing upfront. Our personal-injury cases are handled on a contingent fee, meaning our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you. If we don't recover anything, you owe no attorney's fee. Court costs and case expenses are separate and may still apply — we put the exact arrangement in writing before you hire us.
Most Texas personal-injury claims must be filed within two years of the injury. There are important exceptions in both directions: claims against a city, county, or state entity often require formal written notice within six months or less, and certain circumstances can extend a deadline. Because missing a deadline usually ends a case permanently, it's worth a free call to confirm where you stand.
Anyone who gives you a number before reviewing your medical records and the available insurance is guessing. Value depends on the severity of your injuries, the cost of past and future treatment, lost income, how the injury affects daily life, the strength of the liability evidence, and the policy limits available. We'll tell you honestly what we can and can't assess yet.
Usually not. The large majority of injury claims settle without a trial. That said, cases tend to settle for more when the other side believes you're genuinely prepared to try them — so we prepare every case that way.
Be careful. Early offers commonly arrive before anyone knows the full extent of your injuries, and accepting one typically closes your claim permanently — including for treatment you may need later. Have the offer reviewed before you sign anything.
You may still recover. Texas uses proportionate responsibility: your compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault, and you recover nothing only if you're found more than 50% responsible. Insurers routinely overstate a claimant's share of blame, which is one reason early evidence matters.
Your own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage may apply — many Texas drivers carry it without realizing. We review your policy as part of evaluating any auto case.

It varies widely. A straightforward claim may resolve in a few months; a serious-injury or disputed-liability case can take a year or more. One factor is medical: settling before you've finished treatment usually means settling for too little.
Nothing is required. If you have them handy, the date of the incident, any police report or claim number, photos, and any letters from an insurance company help us give you better answers immediately.
No fee unless we win. We speak English, Arabic, and Spanish.
